The Wild struggled against the Americans 8-4 in home game

The Gillette Wild's defense had a poor night, allowing the Great Falls Americans 37 shots throughout the game. The Great Falls Americans took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Michael Fary.

Brooks Mitzel did his part, adding 2 goals and Nick Stockert chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Payton Mcsharry contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Cody Dearing delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first period, Walters opened the scoring for Gillette with a goal at 9:32 with helpers from his linemates, Varty and Conroy. Cowden quickly followed with a goal at 10:21 with a helper from his teammate Juliussen.

In the second, Mcsharry netted a goal at 5:32 with an assist from fellow Americans forward Vandenbos. Thomas put in a goal at 13:43 with helpers from his linemates, Ramstad and Peters. Vandenbos quickly followed with a goal at 14:15 with assists from his linemates, Mcsharry and Janke. Fary quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 14:37 with a helper from defenseman Peterson. Mitzel quickly followed with a goal at 15:08 with assists from his linemates, Oberg and Peterson.

In the third, Mitzel put in a goal at 1:34 with helpers from his linemates, Oberg and Stockert. Dearing quickly followed with a goal at 1:58 with assists from his linemates, Juliussen and Rath. Stockert quickly followed with a goal at 3:21 with a helper from fellow Wild forward Thompson. Janke quickly followed with a goal at 4:32 with assists from his linemates, Dearing and Juliussen. Weston put in a goal at 14:36 with helpers from Juliussen and Peters.
