The Wild struggled against the Americans 6-1 in home game

The Gillette Wild struggled against the Great Falls Americans allowing Michael Fary to score a hat trick as Gillette crushed the Americans 6-1 in a home game at Great Falls Ice Plex in Gillette. Moreover, Gabriel Lepper came up big, stopping 13 of 17 shots throughout the game. The Great Falls Americans took the lead early in the first on a goal from Michael Fary and never looked back.

Payton Mcsharry had a busy night with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Matt Janke chipped in with 2 assists.

In the first period, Dearing opened the scoring for the Americans with a goal at 0:39 with helpers from teammates Weston and Mcsharry. Fary quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 2:12 with a helper from Rinckey. Mitzel finally put Gillette on the board with a goal at 6:14 with assists from his linemates, Oberg and Stockert.

In the second, Fary answered for the Americans with a goal at 2:41 with an assist from Thomas. Mcsharry quickly followed with a goal at 3:57 with helpers from Janke and Braxton.

During the third period, Fary scored a goal at 2:07 with assists from Larson and Simpson. Vandenbos netted a goal at 10:08 with helpers from his linemates, Mcsharry and Janke.

This loss brings the Gillette Wild’s record to (2-9-1-0).
