The Wild fall to the Quake 6-5

Rasmus Pilely came up big, stopping 50 of 56 shots throughout the game. The Yellowstone Quake took the lead before the halfway point in the third on a goal from Riley Buller.

Gage Thompson had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 goals and Jack Oberg contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Riley Buller chipped in with 2 goals and Shaw Walworth delivered for his team with 2 assists.

During the first period, Buller opened the scoring for the Quake with a goal at 1:12 with helpers from teammates Walworth and Rasmussen. Mitzel answered for the Wild with a goal at 11:32 with a helper from defenseman Scoggins. Proffitt answered for Yellowstone with a goal at 18:07 with assists from Walworth and Johnson.

In the second, Sievek put in a goal at 0:48. Moore quickly followed with a goal at 2:13 with helpers from Willoughby and Stewart. Pelto deposited a goal at 6:48 with an assist from fellow Quake forward Stewart. Stockert answered for the Wild with a goal at 17:47 with a helper from Varty.

In the third period, Thompson scored a goal at 2:14 with assists from his linemates, Stockert and Oberg. Oberg quickly followed with a goal at 3:12 with helpers from Varty and Feagins. Buller answered for Yellowstone with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 5:23 with an assist from Willoughby. Thompson answered for Gillette with a goal at 17:29 with helpers from Stockert and Scoggins.

This loss brings the Gillette Wild’s record to (0-2-0-0).
