The ice melted months ago, but the spirit of youth hockey is still very much alive in Gillette. The Rockpile Ice Arena is buzzing with about 18 youths working on their skills. The wide-mouthed garage door is wide open, letting the summer air warm the usually frigid ice rink. But there’s no ice on the floor today.
