November brought long road trips, tough battles, and plenty of growth for the Wild.
The month opened with a challenging Halloween weekend, as Gillette went 0-2 against Great Falls — a 4-1 loss Friday followed by a hard-fought 4-3 battle on Saturday.
The Wild then traveled to Bozeman to begin a three-week stretch of away games. They split the weekend in the Ice Dogs’ barn, falling behind 1-0 through two periods on Friday before completely flipping the script in the third. Gillette poured in five goals to secure a 5-2 win. Momentum didn’t carry into Saturday, though, as the Wild struggled to generate offense and ultimately suffered a 7-0 shutout.
A penalty-heavy matchup in Sheridan followed, where the Hawks capitalized on early power plays and handed the Wild an 8-1 loss. Beau Delich netted the lone Wild goal, but frequent penalties prevented Gillette from building any rhythm. The next night in Yellowstone was a different story, with far fewer penalties and a back-and-forth contest. After trading goals to make it 3-3 late in the third, an unfortunate bounce off a Wild skate found its way into Gillette’s net with just 11 seconds remaining, sealing a 4-3 win for the Quake.
The Wild closed their Montana road swing with a split in Helena. Friday was a tough 8-1 loss, but the team bounced back strong on Saturday with a refreshed mindset — and a new face in net. Andrew Knox, who joined the team midweek, made his NA3HL debut and delivered an impressive performance to help the Wild secure their second win in Steed Arena this season. Gillette gained the edge in the second period and held firm the rest of the way, earning a 3-2 victory.
Thanksgiving weekend brought another home-and-home against Sheridan. Spirit Hall was packed Friday night for the final home game of 2025. Sheridan led 1-0 after the first and extended their lead early in the third before Cody Lang put the Wild on the board. Despite a strong push, the Hawks took the 4-1 win. Saturday’s matchup was a tight battle early, with both teams trading penalties but no goals in the first. Sheridan struck early in the second, but Peterson responded to even things up. The third period proved costly for the Wild, as major penalties gave the Hawks power-play opportunities they converted on, resulting in a 3-1 final.
