Gillette Wild forward Sky Solig was awarded the NA3HL Frontier Division Bauer Hockey Star of the Week, the league announced Tuesday afternoon. The Warroad, MN, native collected five points, scoring two goals and assisting on two others Friday night, and scoring a goal Saturday night, as the Wild swept a weekend series over Great Fall.
Solig has 20 points, seven goals and 13 assists, on the season.
Goalie Dominic Hite was recognized with Frontier Division Honorable mention honors. Hite, from Baldwin, WI, stopped 27 of 28 shots he faced as Gillette defeated the Americans 5-1, Saturday night.
Hite is now 3-0 on the season, and has stopped 114 of 119 (.958 SV%) shots he has faced.
