Coach Brendon Hodge moved quickly and signed two key players from last year’s playoff team. Captain Alex King and Wild leading scorer Mitch McEwan have both committed to play for the Wild again for the 2015-2016 season.
King, a Gillette native, will be entering his fourth season with the Wild. Last season King scored 30 points in 47 games as well as putting in important minutes on both the power play and penalty kill.
McEwan was also a multi threat player. Logging important time on the power play and penalty kill, McEwan also was the Wild's leading scorer. The Westminster, Colorado native put up 43 points in 46 games for the Wild, including 12 points on the power play and 2 shorthanded goals.
For both of these players it is the final year they are eligible for junior hockey. Make sure to come out to Spirt Hall Ice Arena and support their attempt to build on last year's success and GO WILD!
