Gillette Wild goalie Jake Turek, and forward Anthony Foster were recognized with NA3HL Frontier Division Bauer Hockey Star of the Week Honorable Mention honors the league announced Tuesday afternoon.
Turek recorded his second shutout of the season stopping all 16 shots he faced in Gillette’s 2-0 win over the Badlands Sabres on Saturday night. The North Branch, MN native has now won his last four starts running his season record to 5-0-0-1. Turek has stopped 178-of-190 shots he has seen this season.
Foster scored a game winning overtime goal, giving the Wild a 3-2 victory over the Sabres on Friday night. The Warroad, MN product has netted two game winning goals. Foster has gathered 26 points, scoring 14 goals and assisting on 12 others in 17 games.
