Game Recap: Wild Drop Preseason Opener vs. Alexandria Blizzard

Sep 11, 2015

The Wild jumped out to an early lead against Alexandria paced by goals from Conner Moore, Alex King and Mitchell McEwan. With the Wild carrying a 3-1 lead into the 3rd, the Blizzard charged back with two 3rd period goals to tie the game 3-3. In both teams first look at the NA3HL's new overtime rules featuring only 3 skaters per team, Alexandria scored the game winner on a good shot from the high slot. For Head Coach Brendon Hodge this was the first time he was able to see the guys in a game situation and had this to say about their performance, "I was very happy with our guys tonight. We definitely need to work on somethings, but overall we're very happy with the effort the guys brought tonight."

The Wild will be back in action tomorrow night in another preseason game against the Blizzard with the puck dropping at 7:05pm and doors opening at 6:30pm.
