Sports are Wild.
The past two weekends, the Gillette Wild have won 2 games and lost 2 games. The unique aspect of these games is that the two wins came against a team ranked above Gillette, while the two losses came from a team that the Wild stood above in the standings.
After opening up November with two tough losses to Helena, the Wild took the ice seeking redemption. They did just that. On November 8th and 9th, the Wild defeated the Great Falls Americans. With scores of 6-3 and 4-3, the Wild sent Great Falls into a free fall.
But last weekend, things didn’t go quite as well for Gillette. They couldn’t overcome the Badlands Sabres, as they dropped both games with scores of 3-1 and 2-1, scoring just two goals over the series as opposed to 10 goals vs Great Falls.
With a roller coaster of emotions in the last two series, the Wild will enter this next weekend (Nov. 22 @ Sheridan, Nov. 23 @ home) hoping to get some wins against the dominant #2 seed, the Sheridan Hawks. Tune in on www.NAHLTV.com or buy your tickets now to witness the action live.
