The Gillette Wild held their Third Annual Developmental Tryout Camp this past weekend at Casper Ice Arena in Casper, WY. Over 35 players from the states of Illinois, Colorado, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Texas, and of course, Wyoming attended the camp.
Coach Winkler and Coach Adamek mixed a series of practices and scrimmages to get the most out of their prospective players. “The players, both young and old, showed a lot of grit and skill to both Coach Winkler and I. It was a lot of ice in a short amount of time, and the campers left it all on the ice” said Coach Adamek. “We offered some spots to main camp, and a few prospects were offered spots on the team. I would call it a success,” he continued.
There was a good mix of returning players and new prospects. From the past and recent success of this camp, the Wild look forward to continuing this camp in the future.
