Bozeman beats Gillette 3-2 after comeback scare

Bozeman survived a determined comeback attempt by Gillette on the way to a 3-2 win.

A goal by Brock Loser put Bozeman up 3-1 in the third period, but Gillette pulled to within one on Alex King\’s tally 9:09 into the third period.

Bozeman was led by Loser, who racked up one goal. Loser scored 6:21 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Bozeman. Dylan Michaud assisted on the tally.

Bozeman put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Gillette to score on any of its four power plays.

Bozeman also got points from Gunnar Mogck, who also had one goal and one assist and Kegan Couture, who also tallied one goal and one assist. More assists for Bozeman came via John Dixon, who had one.

Bozeman was unable to stop Gillette from sending pucks towards the net, and Gillette eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

Gillette additionally got points from Connor Moore, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Gillette received assists from Tristen Leberknight, Gennadi Zabeline, and Jack Oberg, who each chipped in one.

Charlie Smart made 29 saves for Bozeman on 31 shots. Bozeman incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Stephen Wroe rejected 25 shots on goal for Gillette. Gillette incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
