The Wild struggled against the Quake 7-2 in home game

The Gillette Wild's defense had a poor night, allowing the Yellowstone Quake 31 shots throughout the game. The Yellowstone Quake took the lead early in the third on a goal from Carter Johnson.

Jack Oberg contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Brooks Mitzel had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Ian Doner delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Timo Pelto chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first, Steyaert opened the scoring for the Quake with a goal at 7:07 with a helper from defenseman Stewart. Doner deposited a goal at 18:08 with helpers from his linemates, Stewart and Pelto.

During the second period, Mitzel finally put the Wild on the board with a goal at 1:10 with assists from his linemates, Oberg and Stockert. Oberg scored a goal at 6:09 with helpers from teammates Scoggins and Mitzel.

In the third, Johnson answered for Yellowstone with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 2:17 with an assist from defenseman Stewart. Willoughby deposited a goal at 7:40 with helpers from Doner and Sievek. Buller quickly followed with a goal at 8:41 with assists from his linemates, Moore and Ford. Dumont quickly followed with a goal at 9:32 with helpers from Willoughby and Walworth. Pelto quickly followed with a goal at 10:24 with assists from Stewart and Stewart.

This loss brings the Gillette Wild’s record to (7-13-2-1).
