Wild Finish Preseason play 2-2 and Look Forward to Opening Weekend at Home against Glacier 9/25 and 9/26

Sep 22, 2015

The Wild finished their preseason 2-2 after games against the Alexandria Blizzard and University of Wyoming. In their first games under the new coaching staff of Brendon Hodge and Tim Brownell, the Wild opened preseason play against the Alexandria Blizzard (28-16-3 in 2014). The Wild lost both games against Alexandria with the first loss coming in 3 on 3 OT. It was a great learning opportunity for the Wild since it was their first look at the NA3HL's new overtime rules. Following the games against Alexandria, the Wild hosted the University of Wyoming who feature several Wild alumni. The Wild took both games against the UW evening their preseason record at 2-2.

Coach Hodge had this to say about the two weekends, "We were happy with how our guys played both weekends. With a short bench both weekends, we thought our effort was off the charts. We still have to clean up a few areas, but in all the games we played you can see the potential this team has for this year. We took a lot of positives out of the games, but like I said we do have some things to clean up before the regular season starts."

Looking to carry the moment from the games against the University of Wyoming, the Wild open up their 2015-2016 regular season at home against the Glacier Nationals. Come to Spirit Hall Ice Arena and support the Wild as we begin our 5th season as an organization.
