The Gillette Wild recently announced their hiring of a new head coach. Ethan Hayes, the head coach of the Wild for the previous four seasons, will be stepping down. Erick Bromberg, from Rochester, Minnesota, will be stepping up into the head coach position.
Bromberg is an experienced coach and manager, having served as the interim head coach and general manager for the New Ulm Steel during the 2021-22 season. He also served as an assistant coach for the Bantam A team under the Rochester Youth Hockey Association. Bromberg also brings playing experience with him. He played high school hockey at John Marshall, as well as playing junior hockey for Granite City and the New Ulm Steel.
