The Wild struggled against the Quake 7-3 in home game

The Gillette Wild's defense had a poor night, allowing the Yellowstone Quake 38 shots throughout the game. The Yellowstone Quake took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Ian Doner.

Brooks Mitzel chipped in with 2 assists. Ian Doner contributed with 2 goals and Riley Buller delivered for his team with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist).

In the first, Doner opened the scoring for the Quake with a goal at 9:41 with helpers from teammates Willoughby and Walworth. Buller netted a goal at 15:20 with helpers from Stewart and Pelto. Ford put in a goal at 19:20 with assists from his linemates, Proffitt and Moore.

In the second period, Morey finally put Gillette on the board with a goal at 2:37 with helpers from his linemates, Walters and Eastep. Doner answered for Yellowstone with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 10:11 with an assist from Moore. Oberg quickly followed with a goal at 10:42 with helpers from his linemates, Mitzel and Peterson. Willoughby answered for the Quake with a goal at 13:11 with assists from Stewart and Buller. Varty answered for the Wild with a goal at 19:05 with helpers from his linemates, Mitzel and Thompson.

During the third, Buller answered for Yellowstone with a goal at 15:16 with assists from his linemates, Willoughby and Moore. Moore deposited a goal at 19:02 with helpers from Willoughby and Sievek.

This loss brings the Gillette Wild’s record to (14-18-2-2).
