The Wild struggled against the Americans 6-2 in home game

The Gillette Wild struggled against the Great Falls Americans allowing Tanner Congdon to score a hat trick as Gillette crushed Great Falls 6-2 in a home game at Spirit Ice Arena in Gillette. Also, the Wild's defense had a poor night, allowing the Americans 26 shots throughout the game. The Great Falls Americans took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Payton Mcsharry.

Kyle Truax chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Nick Stockert did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Payton Mcsharry delivered for his team with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Brendan Jester had a productive game with 3 assists.

During the first, Congdon opened the scoring for Great Falls with a goal at 7:15 with helpers from his teammates Mcsharry and Vibans. Congdon deposited a goal at 16:15 with helpers from his linemates, Harrington and Bushey.

In the second, Mcsharry put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 5:34 with assists from his linemates, Congdon and Jester. Truax finally put the Wild on the board with a goal at 12:47 with a helper from Stockert.

During the third period, Fary answered for Great Falls with a goal at 2:55 with an assist from Vandenbos. Congdon quickly followed with a goal at 4:30 with a helper from fellow Americans forward Jester. Stockert quickly followed with a goal at 6:08 with an assist from Truax. Mcsharry quickly followed with a goal at 7:20 with helpers from his linemates, Congdon and Jester.
