Aaron Lachance came up big, stopping 42 of 44 shots throughout the game. The Helena Bighorns took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Nicholas Noel.
In the second, Sietz opened the scoring for Helena with a goal at 8:46 with assists from his linemates, Cline and Lindberg. Oberg finally put the Wild on the board with a goal at 12:58 with helpers from his linemates, Conroy and Thompson. Noel quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 14:04 with assists from his teammates Dietz and Scheibel.
This loss brings the Gillette Wild’s record to (37-18-1-0).
