Tennant’s big game bests Glacier in 7-2 Gillette win

Tyler Tennant had two goals and one assist to lead Gillette to a 7-2 victory over Glacier.

Tennant scored at 18:12 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Gillette and again while 4:34 into the third to make the score 5-2 Gillette.

Gillette forced Glacier goalie Kevin Hale to work between the pipes, taking 44 shots. Gillette bested its season scoring average. Gillette averages 3.6 goals per game.

Gillette additionally got points from Garrett Medina, who also racked up one goal and two assists and Kyle Traux, who also had one goal and two assists. Riley Holwegner also scored for Gillette. Other players who recorded assists for Gillette were Preston Fuller, who had three and Tyler Reble, Jack Oberg, and RJ Yusko, who each chipped in one.

Glacier was led by Collin Schieman, who tallied one goal and one assist. Schieman scored on the power play 4:53 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Glacier had gained a power play chance when Hunter Johnson was whistled for tripping. Logan Kraft picked up the assist. Glacier also got a goal from Gavin Cline as well. In addition, Glacier received assists from Brandon Huntington and Tim VanTuinen, who contributed one each.

Gillette\’s Stephen Wroe stopped 28 shots out of the 30 that he faced. Gillette incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Hale rejected 37 shots on goal for Glacier. Glacier incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
