League MVP Commits to Colorado State University

Taylor Motsinger (Highlands Ranch, CO) has announced his intentions of playing ACHA Division 1 hockey for the Colorado State University Rams. CSU is located in Fort Collins, CO. They are a Member of the newly formed Western Collegiate Hockey League (WCHL). This will be their first year fielding a team at this level, but they have been around and have enjoyed mauch success at the Divison 2 and 3 levels. They are coached by Kelly Newton.

Motsinger has been given the ultimate honor, as he was voted the League's Most Valuable Player as well as also being named to the First Team All-League. Motsinger racked up 47 Goals, 58 Assists, for 105 points in 48 Games this past season.

"We're counting on Taylor to increase our offensive output this season," said Rams Coach Kelly Newton. "He had a fantastic year in Juniors last season, and we're confident he can bring his scoring prowess to the Rams"

Coach Winkler has stated "It's a good decision for Taylor. He has an opportunity to stay close to home and play in front of family and friends. Coach Newton is getting a fantastic player and an even better human being. I have no doubts that Taylor can step in and be an impact player from the start. He gets to play four years of college hockey for a great program."
