Jester’s big game bests Gillette in 4-1 Great Falls win

Great Falls\’ Brendan Jester had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team\’s 4-1 win over Gillette.

Jester found the back of the net 1:24 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Great Falls and again while short handed 10:18 into the first to make the score 2-0 Great Falls.

Great Falls stifled Gillette\’s power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Great Falls also got points from Stevan Goran, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Great Falls also got a goal from Adam Apangalook as well. In addition, Great Falls received assists from Reed Link, who had one and Austin Krantz, who had two.

Gillette was held below its usual level of production. Gillette averages 4.2 goals per game.

Gillette was led by Cade Boreing, who scored the team\’s only goal. Boreing scored 7:03 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Great Falls. Alex King picked up the assist.

Lauren Massie made 24 saves for Great Falls on 25 shots. Great Falls incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Gillette\’s Alex Feese stopped 25 shots out of the 29 that he faced. Gillette incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
