Gillette downs Yellowstone, 5-2

Andrii Istominov racked up one point to lead the Gillette Wild to a 5-2 victory over the Yellowstone Quake.

Gillette kept Yellowstone\’s goalie busy throughout the game, and Sean Leahy made 57 saves on 62 shots.

Gillette also got points from Bryce Mitzal, who also had one goal and one assist and Will Fobair, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Gillette also had goals scored by Moco Willis and Darren Banks, who scored one goal each. In addition, Gillette received assists from Greg Sauers, Brandon Miller, and Alex King, who contributed one a piece.

The Quake were helped by Reed Kaiser, who tallied one goal. Kaiser scored 12:36 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Mike McCullen picked up the assist. Yellowstone also got a goal from James Pyle as well. Other players who recorded assists for Yellowstone were Jaden Sveinson, Ross Mullen, and TJ Lozier, who each chipped in one.

Sean Kelley made 25 saves for the Wild on 27 shots. Gillette incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Yellowstone incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors.
